After some thought, I probably won’t make the “Weekly Wiki” a weekly feature since we don’t get a lot of articles in very frequently and we might end up with multiple weekly wiki’s in a row, which could get redundant. At the TR Tower, we aim for quality over quantity, but at the moment, we could probably use more articles. If you are interested in contributing, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The Yutatsu
On October 26, the Shinbashira just released the latest “instruction” (or “Yutatsu“), Instruction Three, our latest words of guidance leading to the 130th Anniversary of Oyasama in 2016. About 3 years prior to each anniversary of Oyasama, the Shinbashira releases an instruction for us to follow and lead us to a spirited celebration.
In my lifetime, I have only been able to enjoy 2 anniversaries and each time, it was a blast because everyone made a concerted effort to visit the Jiba in the summer.
About 6 years ago, the first Tenri Forum 2006 was held, which was an event for speakers from around the world could give presentations and enabled dialog about the Teachings in English. I was then able to meet a lot of English-speaking people in the faith from around the world, which was a new experience for many of the participants. Hearing and seeing a dedicated effort of speakers talk about the Tenrikyo teachings was an amazing. It was such a success, it was planned to happen again in the next anniversary of Oyasama. However, since that was too long of a wait, the Tenrikyo Hawaii Convention 2011 was planned and executed.
There is much to look forward to, but we, as Yoboku of the faith, must realign our focus and work together in constructing the Joyous Life with the Instruction Three as our guide as we approach the 130th Anniversary of Oyasama.
